Lucid Dreams

P1015196I typically never use my blog for advertising, as that is quite the opposite of the reason I founded it. However, I had an epiphany about a month ago. If you’ve ever heard of the concept of Lucid Dreams, you should google it. I’m going to cover a few basics, but it really is a fascinating concept. Reality checking is the most effective way to achieve a lucid dream. Let me go over the basics with you before I get too deep with this concept.

What Is a Lucid Dream?

A lucid dream is a dream that allows the dreamer (you) to exert control within the dreamworld. The dreamer can manipulate the experiences within this dreamworld, creating whatever he or she can conjure up with the mind. Lucid dreams are typically triggered through Reality Checks.

What Is a Reality Check?

The “reality check” is the most effective way to induce a lucid dream. You perform a reality check in your waking life by telling yourself in some way that you are awake. These reality checks are performed in numerous ways. For example, some use spinning tops, special watches, or even masks. Getting into the habit of performing reality checks is the most crucial step to achieve lucid dreaming.

This is pretty straightforward information, right? So I figured, why not do this stylishly? This is where I conjured the idea for the Dream Ring.

This is a product that I have developed and posted on a crowd-funding platform known as Indiegogo. I am not trying to convince you to purchase one, I am asking you to consider pledging to complete the project. With pledging, you can get your own DREAM RING. I can personally say that these work, because I have induced lucid dreams through this methodology.

You ONLY pay your pledged amount if the project goals are met. It’s risk free. If you don’t like it, stay tuned for more blog posts in a couple of weeks. Here is the link to the Indiegogo site:

About Kelsey

Hello there. My name is Kelsey Martineau. I am a teacher in the Information Technology field in Mobile, Alabama. I am originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. As a child, the stories of the native Mississippian William Faulkner inspired me to write. I have been writing as a hobby for the last fifteen years. I’ve played the drums and piano for a long time. I love poker, chess, scuba diving, and video games. I would pretty much say I’m a spiritual person. I don’t like the term “religion.” I think that people get spirituality and religion mixed up. I strongly believe that religious beliefs shouldn’t be forced on people. They also shouldn’t be taught biased. People should learn all there is to know about different religions, and make choices based on facts and reasoning. This allows individuals to not only to know what they believe in, but also to be knowledgeable in it. I personally believe that we can’t understand God. I am also under the impression that we have to consider the possibility that all religions point to the same God, and they are simply different ways of interpreting that God. Life is about loving each other, furthering the human race, and helping your fellow man. I haven't always done this in my life, and neither have you. But our infinite striving should be to work towards a common goal of becoming a better species. A world without greed and hunger. A world where people don't kill over wants and desires. A world where you can say you truly do "love" everyone without having to think about it. If you would like to contact me, I would love to hear from you. 1. I tried lucid dreaming for a while, but after my first lucid dream I started to forget about it. The ring is a clever idea! Personally I tie an old piece of cloth to my right hand to tell if I’m dreaming or not. :-)
