Losing a wedding is a pretty big deal. I don't think that this would warrant describing her as a particularly sentimental person.

Was passing through and saw this. I just watched LOST for the first time today (yeah, I'm late), and Boone was my fave. I just watched him die and had to turn the set off because I was crying too hard. I'm so hurt and upset that they killed him with no warning at all. LOST is a fantastic show, but in that, the writers dropped the ball.

Hmmmm. I smell an argument over nature vs. nuture, which most affluent psychologists have been attempting, quite unsuccessfully, to answer for more than a couple decades. It is an interesting subject, and whether you believe Mr. Kellermans idea, which is nature, or Freuds, which is nurture, or Carl Jung, who believed it was both, you are sure to get tied up in nebulous arguments about unknowable subjects- but minus all the catchy jargon of the professional psychologist. Good luck with that one....

I think that at the beginning of Season 1, shannon was the jerk, but when everyone thought she was useless, you really see that she was just abandoned by Boone, her father, and her step-mother. You really see that there was something sad. then when Boone died, she had no one else in the world except for maybe Sayid. I really felt sorry for her after Boone died and from there her character got interesting with the whole Walt thing. Just like every other character on the island, her character evolved into a the not-so stereotypical blonde girl. I like every character on Lost, because all their lives were crappy in one way or the other. They are all flawed and then develop. I felt that Shannon's story was not over when she was killed and could have been a big contribution to Lost history.

<i>"In studying Juliet’s character, we can learn that lying is not a good thing."</i>

You might as well say the same about at least half of the characters on the show.

Wow. You really like Ana don't you?

He held back medication from Sawyer because of cause and effect, not purposeful manipulation. Sawyer, just like Kate, was a loose cannon. Sawyer would run around like a madman if someone didn't keep him under control, and Kate had to be treated like a child. She was a convict for Christ's sake! I think you look at this characters a little to shallowly. You have to consider their history. It's what the show's all about.

If the people look to Jack as a leader, even if he doesn't want to do it, they need to listen to him.

No one is perfect on the island. That's pretty obvious to me. The entire show revolves around each and every character having numerous issues. And, for the record, I never said Jack was perfect. We see even more about him and some of his flaws in the latest season.

<i>Actually, you’re wrong. Jack is nothing like Ana-Lucia. Jack didn’t choose to lead these people. They look to him for guidance. He didn’t step up and say, “Look at me, I’m your leader, you will follow.” When stuff happens, they look to Jack. The characters are nothing alike. It’s clear that Ana-Lucia is nothing like Jack, due to the fact that she will hold a gun to people’s head in order to get her way.</i>

You really don't know Jack well . . . do you. He may not have chosen to become the leader, but he became one he was like a lot of the others - <i>"You do it my way, or it's the byway."</i>

You complain that Ana would hold a gun to people's head to get her way? Jack had a habit of holding back needed medication from Sawyer to get the latter to cooperate. Nor was he above using a gun on Locke or any other castaway who gave him problems. Or he would treat you like a chilld . . . like he did Kate countless of times.

Ana-Lucia wasn't perfect, but neither was Jack. I think you're suffering from Jack Shephard worship.
